About
We make games that are fun to play, slightly addictive, but do not require a huge time commitment. We want players to feel like they are contributing their money to further development on a game they enjoy playing, as well as supporting a worthy charitable foundation.
BattleCritters (The Company)
BattleCritters was formed by bothers Max & Nick Barfuss. Our most important asset is our passion for games and gaming. Max has been a software developer for over a decade, with experience on large software projects. He understands the technology, can perform the programming, and can see a software project through to completion. Nick has been an artist and creative director for the same amount of time and has a creative eye with an attention to detail. He is also a skilled web developer, understands the technologies we will use, and is an excellent artist. Our combined years of gaming have encouraged us to learn what works and what doesn’t. We have developed games on our own and know what people want in a game. You can find out more about out games at www.battlecritters.com.
Max Barfuss (Owner, Software Engineer )
I’ve been a software engineer at several companies developing math, physics and 2D and 3D graphics for scientific applications, and developing enterprise level database applications. I’ve been a part owner of one start-up business in the past, and was able to direct that company’s growth into a very successful business. Now I get to learn a new language (Flash and Action Script 3.0), write video games, and sell something I love to do.
Nick Barfuss (Owner, Art Director )
I’ve been doing web design professionally for over 10 years now. I’ve worked for some big companies and some small ones. I have been drawing and illustrating ever since I could hold a pencil. My whole life I have always had a passion to build video games, and now the timing is right, I have the skills, and I have the finances.
